Description |
The name of the project is called "American Black Ladies" The concept is based on the work of
Photographer Uwe Ommer.
His work is incredible. His "Black Ladies" work has been celebrated the world
over as the best depiction of the black woman.
"Uwe Ommer's Black Ladies is an elegant collection of African and African diaspora women which represents an aesthetic salute to black beauty that U.S. culture seems unable to produce"
It was when I read the above quote that I began to think about proving the critics wrong.
So here I am trying to make an attempt to elevate my work to the caliber of Ommer and show just how beautiful the American Black Woman can be.
