I specialise in Fine Art, Glamour, and Underwater Photography. Photos are digitally retouched and edited to create the final results.
I also do material for modeling portfolios as well as digital retouching and editing of your current photos and image files. Please write for rates and details.

I do some TFP photography, both here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and when I travel, provided I have the time, the theme seems interesting and creative, and the model appears to be a good match for the concept. Among the ideas that captivate me are:
Fairies, mermaids, models photographed underwater, body landscape, body art, vintage and alternative pin-up, light fetish, savage/primitive, women warriors.

Prospective models must share an interest in such themes, and in collaboration to put together the best shoot. Models have input to the selection of images that undergo the detail edit process, and rights to use all material for promotional purposes. Models are always given access to proof materials within two or three days. Completion of editing may take three to four weeks, and the material is posted as each image is finished.

If you have an interesting concept, or an interest in one I have mentioned, please contact me.

The Making of a Photo Image - Creating Finished Product
For me, the taking of a photo is merely a starting point, and a great deal of work is frequently required to turn that initial image into what I really want to create. A number of factors account for this additional element of work.

The most basic of these is the desire to present an image more pleasing to the eye than the rather harsh and sterile view captured to the camera. Another strong factor is the wish to offset for elements in the original composition that detract from the conceptual image, for example, power lines, lighting, background objects. Next to consider are elements not readily available for the shoot, such as the right sky, background, or props.

In other cases, the actual concept does not materialise until well after the original photo has been taken.

As an example, I photographed an image in the studio that I thought would look interesting with a desert background. Only a few things were missing, such as the desert, the sky, the water and reflection I envisioned, the proper shadows, plus the fact that the model was photographed from the wrong angle, and the camera over-accentuated her freckles.

The final photo was constructed using an edited version of the original image, images of sky I photographed in southern California, another I photographed in Death Valley, plus Photoshop plugins to create a stream, the reflection of the model, and proper shadowing to integrate the elements.

One last note:
The site administrator has chosen to place some of my best material in the "nude" category. These are artistic renditions, not "adult" material. I invite you to view these as well. or to simply view my portfolio at onemodelplace.com/kct01
